Join us for a concert featuring musical artists Superchick and John Reuben and a message of hope by international evangelist Sammy Wanyonyi.

Admission is FREE for the first 900 people. Doors open at 6:30pm. Miracle Empowerment Center, 5801 John Martin Drive, Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. See map here.

As a band inspired to empower its listeners, Superchick have had their first four albums combine for 700,000 copies sold, including five No. 1 singles.  70 of their songs are featured in movies, TV and video games. Their new album Rock What You Got is about empowerment as well as HOPE.

Nick Hall, Founder of PULSE

At age 27, his burning desire is to impact this generation with the revolutionary message of Jesus Christ. Traveling as a youth communicator since 2001, God has opened doors for Nick to speak at hundreds of events while receiving hands-on training from some of the most influential Christian leaders of our day.  His passions include student-led prayer movements, leadership training, evangelism, and discipleship. As a voice to the next generation, Nick is regularly featured as a speaker for student conferences, training events, and festivals around the country.  He serves on the executive committee of the Proclamation Evangelism Network, the student advisory team for the Billy Graham Association, and is among a select group of Partner Communicators for the Luis Palau Association. In 2004, Nick authored a proposal in his English 320 class at North Dakota State University (NDSU).  The proposal, entitled "Pulse," outlined a plan to positively change a college campus  by putting Christ at the pulse of this generation. The vision quickly spread and the first PULSE event, featuring well-known bands and a powerful Gospel message presentation, was held at NDSU in 2006.  Implemented by student-led prayer and discipleship, the PULSE movement has since impacted 18 campuses and over 50,000 students in North Dakota and western Minnesota with an additional 100,000 impacted through partnerships nationwide. Nick is married to his best friend Tiffany, and they make their home in Minneapolis, MN.  He earned his degree in Business Administration from NDSU, has completed courses at Fuller Seminary, and is currently enrolled in Bethel Seminary's InMinistry Program with an emphasis  in Transformational Leadership and Christian Thought.

Joel Johnson, Senior Pastor, Westwood Community Church
Joel moved to Chanhassen MN with his family in 1995 to start Westwood Church. Previous to Westwood, he served on staff for 15 years at Wooddale Church where he helped to oversee the strategic plan for starting new churches. In August of 1994, he was invited to lead the new church to be started in Chanhassen. At first he declined. But one weekend that fall his wife, Keri, and he drove through Chanhassen and were struck by the expansive growth in the area and the lack of churches to serve the community. They saw a need for more churches and an opportunity to reach many people with the love of Jesus Christ. More importantly, they had a personal, spiritual experience that cannot be put into words but served as an affirmation that this is what they were to do. In January, 1995, a simple plan was written, a purpose statement was fashioned, and our vision was clarified and communicated to anyone interested in hearing. A few months later, Westwood Community Church was born.  Today, Westwood ministers to nearly 4000 people weekly.  They have seen many people come to Christ. They have seen the Church grow beyond their expectations. Joel’s primary responsibilities are leadership and preaching. He is surrounded by a cast of gifted staff and lay leadership who serve with a high level of commitment and excellence, who want to give their best to God. He graduated from Bethel Seminary in 1986 and completed a Doctor of Ministry degree at Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA in 1999. Joel also serves on the Board of Trustees at Bethel University and teaches leadership at the University in the MBA program.  Together with Keri and their four children they anticipate a future for Westwood that will increase the reputation of Jesus Christ in the Twin Cities area and around the world. Joel will draw from his vast experience in church leadership and personal faith journey to equip believers at the Accelerate 2010 conference.
